Cabbage Art & Scarf Invitational Set of Note Cards Reward.
You've chosen a very dramatic and colorful selection for the top six winners, which will be the Note Cards Reward. (See &/or join the Kickstarter project at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/743498317/the-cabbage-art-and-scarf-invitational.) THANK YOU!!!
I'm delighted with the selections, since my own color sense tends towards the dramatic and colorful. These have been a pleasure to work with, and I think they are great together.
The quality of these winning selections prove to me the validity of my concept of crowd-sourcing the survival of the fittest decisions, which will be much more important (and powerful) for my some of next projects, which will feature more generations, fewer images. Many, many thanks for sticking with this somewhat demanding process. If you've been enjoying it, or have suggestions for future iterations, let me know. Thanks!
"CABBAGE IN THE ROLL OF VOLCANO" Finished Cabbage Artwork from the Cabbage Art & Scarf Invitational Kickstarter Project. This positively seething cabbage artwork apparently JUST HAD to come out today. I love it when that happens.
For other pixel painters, I used Camera 360, Tangle (several times), Percolator (several times), Big Photo, LOTS of iColorama (amazing app!) and the workhorse tools in Photoshop.
"BREAKERS" Finished Artwork
This is the final winner from the Round One Cabbage Contenders. I was expecting this image to develop very smoothly to it's finished state, but for some reason it was a real battle. I was not satisfied with the lower purple leaves, and could not get them to cooperate. I finally had to build them from another leaf source. Can you figure out which one?
Less Brightly colored, these were from the subtle category. I have a lot to work with here! WINNERS PAGE

The Royal Court of Blue Whimsies'
After finishing "Whitecaps", I decided that the little blue spot nearly in the middle would make a great eye, and I couldn't help myself, I just had to make some "Whimsies" with it. Among others, out came this royal court of characters.
Meet the King, Queen, Princess, (she even has a tiara!), the Court jester, and the Grand Vizier!
