This is an updated version of the Cabbage Kickstarter winner, fine tuned with an eye to it's future family of Whimsy Aliens. I'd already done a number of it's Whimsy offspring, but in draft version.These are finished.

From a large series based on photographs I took during the installation of a copper roof. It changed every day, reacting to weather, time and all the assorted materials and chemicals the roofers used.
I think I'll be able to get five or six good Whimsies from the Green Man Cabbage. They're all a bit cheeky
.I'm working with the cabbages again, and loving it! This one doesn't have a name yet, but has a whole family of great Whimsies. I'll post some soon.
His name is now "Green Man"

Through the Crystal Door ... Coming or Going?
I haven't posted any digital work for awhile. I've got quite a backlog. This is "THROUGH THE CRYSTAL DOOR ... Coming? or Going?"

When I lived in the SkyBox, (9th floor overlooking I395) I would sit with a nice glass of wine and watch the rush hour traffic, always bumper to bumper, both directions. It was an endless river of tiny internal combustion explosions.
I'm very pleased that this pastel painting was juried into the Maryland Pastel Society's National Exhibition. Always an honor.
Nancy Freeman has a decades-long fascination with digital art which she supports by painting portraits and teaching various art subjects. Right now she devotes most of her creative time to digital art because it's so satisfying.
