"Primary Lines" Evolution Series: Portfolio

"Primary Lines" is an evolutionary art series, in which a single ancestral piece evolves to produce an entire family of related works. I used a watercolor painting as the first generation, then iterated on the piece using digital techniques and combined the best pieces to produce new finished works. Pieces were chosen to start each new generation based on tournament-style competitions, where the "survival of the fittest" decision was crowdsourced through voting by Patreon patrons and other members of the arts community.
