Red Feathers and Wings: Japanese Maples Series

Backlighting has a way of making me happy. From the spring, when the tiny new leaves are just beginning to open, to the end of fall, the late afternoon light coming through the leaves of the Japanese maple trees seems to set hem on fire. I have photographed maples at all stages, in several,different lighting conditions, and never tire of the lace shapes and range of colors.
