Copper Dreams

The random effects of rain, sun and various construction materials during installation of a new copper roof produced an amazing array of ever- changing forms, colors and textures. Although the copper was exposed to full view for only a few weeks before being covered by a new roof deck, I managed to take hundreds of photos of the evolving surfaces, from the shiny new rolls of copper to the weathered and oxidized landscapes and abstract shapes that emerged during the last few days of exposure. It will take a long time to sort through the entire collection, but here are a few to start.

I've already done one painting based on some of these photos, and there will be more.  See the  "Copper World" demo.
