"INTERPLAY"
Pastel painting. Many thanks to Karen Keating, juror, who awarded this painting Best in Show at the Capitol Hill Art League in the "I See Scapes" juried exhibition. Although this is one of my all time favorites, it didn't seem to appeal to judges and was rejected several times, until I changed the color of the mat to off white. I've certainly learned my lesson in that regard.

OWN A CABBAGE! For all the nice people who have been inquiring about buying a Cabbage Masterpiece, I have finally opened a little store for the Cabbage Art & Scarf Invitational results. It's my first attempt, so there are probably some glitches, but I'm still pleased with it. The scarves are also available there, but not for long . I plan to place only one order of scarves, in early November. Besides being an extremely limited edition, they will be hand signed and numbered. "Be the only one on your block (probably city, maybe state) to own a Cabbage Invitational Scarf!" Many thanks to all the collaborators, backers, and all the thoughtful people on Facebook that have responded so positively to my work. OWN A CABBAGE
Cabbage Art & Scarf Invitational Set of Note Cards Reward.
You've chosen a very dramatic and colorful selection for the top six winners, which will be the Note Cards Reward. (See &/or join the Kickstarter project at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/743498317/the-cabbage-art-and-scarf-invitational.) THANK YOU!!! I'm delighted with the selections, since my own color sense tends towards the dramatic and colorful. These have been a pleasure to work with, and I think they are great together. The quality of these winning selections prove to me the validity of my concept of crowd-sourcing the survival of the fittest decisions, which will be much more important (and powerful) for my some of next projects, which will feature more generations, fewer images. Many, many thanks for sticking with this somewhat demanding process. If you've been enjoying it, or have suggestions for future iterations, let me know. Thanks! "CABBAGE IN THE ROLL OF VOLCANO" Finished Cabbage Artwork from the Cabbage Art & Scarf Invitational Kickstarter Project. This positively seething cabbage artwork apparently JUST HAD to come out today. I love it when that happens.
For other pixel painters, I used Camera 360, Tangle (several times), Percolator (several times), Big Photo, LOTS of iColorama (amazing app!) and the workhorse tools in Photoshop.
