Our cooking weekend in Sperryville turned out to be a congenial group of serious foodies, gathered to consume huge amounts of delicious, rich and interesting food, and drink copious amounts of, (er, I mean "taste test") many excellent wines. I am still in the atonement phase, as I refused to accept that I can no longer eat or drink as much as I want.

The cooking class involved all the men and only one of the women, along with the host and hostess who kept things running smoothly. The others stayed in the living room by the wood fire with assorted electronic devices. Class also involved much wine tasting over a long period of time, so a good time was had by all.
